Taxco Mark pre_dates studio mark of "Plata Y Piedra" which he openned in 1950. It is marked F. Martinez 925 Sterling Taxco Mexico. This piece has agood substantial weight. Measures 2 and three quarters inches by 1 and one quarter inches by one half inches.Marks, Bigorne section on outside left stem. Eagle head gold guarantee on pin. Boar head silver guarantee (2) on stem. Diamond lozenge maker's stamp on stem & petal.Period French jewelry if extremely rare and hard to find. This came to us from an important local estate. As beautiful as the pictures are they do not do this piece justice. It is far more beautiful in person. It is one of the best period pieces of French jewelry we have come across in years.
