Solid 18k gold early French jewelry religious cross

Antique French gold jewelry,"Gold crosses". Early solid 18k gold early French crucifix. This 18k gold cross measures 2 and one half inches long and three inches with its solid gold ring. Weights 16 grams and dates from the late eighteenth to early nineteenth century. The French hallmarks are an animal head, a wheel circle and ps which can be seen in one of the photographs provided. It is inscribed INRI which is the label that Pontius Pilate had mounted over the head of Jesus Christ on the cross. Latin was the official language of the Roman Empire. The words were "Lesus Nazarenvs Rex Ivdaeorvm" and the English translation is "Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews." The Virgin Mary is found on the reverse of the cross.

Weights 57 grams and dates from after 1837. This wonderful heavy solid 18k gold cross has chip carved inscriptions "Covrs St Charles" and others. This cross was purchased from a French Bishop in Paris France after the second world war.The French hallmarks are an animal head, along with mpr.Truly a work of art.

Weights 47 grams and dates from after 1837. This wonderful heavy solid 18k gold cross has gorgeous design on both sides. Purchased from a bishop in Paris, France after the second world war. Hallmarked with a man's head facing right and an animal's head.

Baroque pearls,Lovely long strand of soft pale gray baroque 8mm pearls. This stand of baroque pearls is quite large at 48 inches long which hang at 24 inches. Purchased 15 to 20 years ago. These baroque pearls have the most beautiful color which is much nicer in person than these photographs show. Baroque pearls are quite fun with all their irregularities. Long strands of pearls like these are quite impressive.
